About the
M.J.M.H.A.

The Michigan Justin Morgan Horse Association was founded in 1955, and currently
has around 600 members throughout Michigan and the surrounding areas. This
makes our club one of the largest in the United States. Communication to the
members is through our award-winning newsletter, which is published 10 times per
year. The club has 150 youth members, and our youth group has produced several
Youth of the Year winners, reserve winners, as well as Triple Crown winners at the
Grand National.
Annual events include: two general membership meetings and potluck dinners per
year, a large tack sale, sponsorship of four Scholarship (the MJMHA Youth Classic, the
Morgan Showtime, the Michigan All-Morgan, and the MJMHA Fall Fun Show), an
annual high point awards banquet, collection for "Toys for Tots" children’s charity, as
well as sponsoring booths to promote the Morgan horse at the Stallion Expo in Lansing
and the North American Horse Spectacular in Novi.
The Michigan Justin Morgan Horse Association is a Michigan non profit corporation
and a qualified Federal tax exempt corporation under 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue code. Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the code, for further
